This week at Englewood Beach

Englewood Beach Weather
Southwest Florida may be in for some rain this week, reports the National Weather Service, which forecasted a 20 percent chance of showers Monday through Saturday.

WINK TV meteorologist Amanda McDonald said the rain is the result of a strong high-pressure system that is feeding in moisture from the Atlantic Ocean.

But don't expect the rainy weather to stick around.

McDonald said a cold front will be moving through next Sunday, clearing out the rain. Read More

Spring Break
Charlotte County students are on spring break this week so you can expect higher then normal levels of visitors at all local beaches.

Red Tide
No Karenia brevis, the Florida red tide organism, was detected this week in water samples collected alongshore between Pinellas and Collier counties. This makes for SWEET beach time!

Englewood beach Golfing

18 Dream Holes
In choosing this year's Dream 18, we sought holes that were both challenging and that could fit well together. In the future, we'll take more input from area golf professionals, our Avid Golfers Jen Taylor and Ed Morgan, and from you, the golfers who know better than anyone the best golf holes from Venice to the Charlotte County line and into DeSoto County. Jacaranda West Country Club
The Country Club at Jacaranda West is a private golf and tennis club with many social activities and a full restaurant. Unlike many Florida clubs, you don't have to live in our neighborhood to belong. They are also one of the rare Florida courses that allows golfers to walk our beautifully maintained course, to drive their own carts, lease an annual cart, or rent a cart by the day. Read More

Plantation Golf & Country Club

They are a member-owned, private Club boasting 36 holes of championship golf with tee times always available, 13 Har-Tru tennis courts, a heated junior-Olympic size swimming pool, spa, state-of-the-art fitness center, and a grand clubhouse with the ambiance and charm of “Old Florida”.
